Sometimes you hear things that make you absolutely ecstatic - other times you hear things that make you sad - and last you hear things that you are conflicted about. I have to say the latter comes to mind when I hear new news recently.
Have you ever tried to ask for something so dear to your heart and you continually get a no OR at least a not right now? And all the while people around you are getting the thing you want most. I have to cry out to the Lord where is the verse - I will give you the desires of your heart. God knows my heart best so I have to think maybe I'm not ready yet for this gift. Or maybe I need to be persistent.
I'm always reminded of the persistent neighbor. I guess I need to keep asking for bread from my neighbor. Until next time - may God bless you!

As 9/11 approaches
We all realize that this coming Sunday is the tenth anniversary of 9/11. There is one problem that I see facing us - one problem that we have allowed to become a problem - one problem that will not leave us - one problem that is creating worse circumstances in our nation. The problem - Obama.
Now I know everyone has heard it all before, but what amazes me is that we (Americans) decided that Muslims were/are to blame for 9/11. Ok, let's decide that people group is responsible. First, we (Americans) say we will not stand for this or we will not forget this. Now let's assume we believe those statements - so far we've elected a Muslim into the White House as Commander in Chief, allowed Muslims to not only come into our country, but more importantly and ridiculously we allowed them to purchase American soil and build their mosques.
You may say I cannot believe you would say such things. I'm only pointing out the obvious. I do have to say that Jesus tells us to love our enemies. I know I know you're saying what was that last statement...yes, Jesus tells us to love our enemies. As I see it Muslims are our enemies, because they want to control us and rule us in their law and religion. So it appears we must love Muslims. We must love our neighbors as ourselves. Ouch! I don't want to you say. I don't feel like it.
Ok, there's a solution. Share Jesus. Well, that's kind of in people's faces; I don't want to be intolerant; I don't want to be politically incorrect. Well, here's the catch Jesus says if you deny Him before men here on earth He will deny you before the Father in heaven. So, it stands to reason - sharing Jesus is the best way to stop you from becoming engulfed with hate. It is also what we as Christians are supposed to do-share the Gospel.
By the way, if you haven't heard - Jesus was born of a virgin, He lived a perfect sinless life, He was the only Son of God, He performed miracles, He died on a cross, He rose again 3 days later, He ascended into heaven, and He will return to judge - you can admit you've sinned, repent (turn away from your sin), ask forgiveness for your sins, and ask Jesus to come into your heart. Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!
